About our services.
Individual Therapy.
What does it mean to be mentally well? You’ve probably thought a lot about what being unhealthy is… and if I’m honest most therapists have done the same. For some time now most therapy has been oriented from the idea of getting rid of mental illness… not necessarily getting a client mentally well.
My approach has become the latter. Yes, I want to resolve my clients negative symptoms; however, above all, I want my clients to become mentally well above all else. This means you can expect to focus on the following 4 pillars of mental wellness:
Gratitude
Humility
Agency
Meaning
Group Therapy
“The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation” -Henry David Thoureau
While Individual Therapy has tremendous benefits, the benefits of group therapy far outweigh them. This is due, in part, to the greatest benefit of group therapy: Perspective.
When we are in the depths of our internal battles we can often feel hopelessly alone, but that is a lie. We are never alone and while each persons experience is unique, we can always learn from other people.
Group sessions are 90 minutes in duration and are meant to be attended weekly or bi-weekly (depending on the particular group schedule.) Group sessions are also much more affordable than individual therapy, coming in at $50 per group session (as opposed to $100-$160 per session for individuals).
“What If I want individual and group?” That isn’t a problem! Discounts for individual therapy are offered for those who are actively involved in group.
“What if I’m not comfortable talking to other people?” This is fairly common; however, I guarantee that once you begin participating… you’ll wonder how you ever did without it.
